Fight American Marxism NOW

This editor believes that becoming informed, sharing information, and speaking & acting out are means of fighting US Marxism (AKA Liberalism) that anyone can employ.  I am certain that you and your friends are capable of formulating great action ideas. General George S. Patton said,

"Never tell people how to do things.  Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."

The threat of the American Marxism that is prevalent in our country today is so real and scary to our future that we might become paralyzed with inaction believing that one person's actions are inconsequential and/or that it is too late to make a difference. Take heart--No one can nor should do everything.  But pick something, and then take action!

And even though the quote below from Thomas Paine, in his The American Crisis, No.1 pertained to calling the colonists to action against the British during the American Revolution, it is just as relevant today:

These are the times that try men's souls...I call not upon a few, but upon all: not on this state or that state, but on every state: up and help us; lay your shoulders to the wheel; better have too much force than too little, when so great an object is at stake.  Let it be told to the future world, that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive, that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet and to repulse it."

American Marxism | Book by Mark R. Levin | Official Publisher Page ...

"I am often asked on radio what are "we" going to do about recovering our country.  Too often, what is meant is--what is someone else going to do to save America.  That mind-set is simply unacceptable.  If we are to rally to the defense of our own liberty and unalienable rights, then each of us, in our own roles and ways, must become personally and directly involved as citizen activists, in our own fate and the fate of our country.  The time has come to reclaim what is ours--the American republic--from those who seek to destroy it.  If we expect others to rescue our nation for us, as we go about our daily lives as mere observers to what is transpiring, or close our eyes and ears to current events, we will lose this struggle.  And yes, it is a struggle.

We have allowed the American Marxists to define who we are as a people.  They defame us, slander our ancestors and history, and trash our founding documents and principles.  They are mostly reprobates who hate the country in which they live and have contributed nothing to its betterment.  Indeed, they live off the sweat and toil of others, while they pursue a destructive and diabolical course for our nation, undermining and sabotaging virtually every institution in our society.  Their ideology and worldview are based on the arguments and beliefs of a man, Karl Marx, whose writings are responsible for the enslavement, impoverishment, torture and death of untold millions.  This is a hard fact, despite the predictable protestations from some in our society who embrace and advance Marxism's core ideas but attempt to disassociate themselves from responsibility for its inevitable outcomes.  These are the "useful idiots" who occupy influential or leadership positions in the Democratic Party, media, academia, the culture, etc."

Levin offers some suggestions for taking action:

  • Boycotts--withdraw support for corporate media, Big Tech, other corporations, Hollywood, sporting, cultural and academic institutions engaged in promoting and/or supporting Marxist policies.
  • Divestment Campaigns--pressure banks, corporations, local and state governments, religious institutions, pension funds, etc. to withdraw investments in and support for Marxist movements (Black Lives Matter, Antifa, etc.)
  • Sanctions--pressure local and state governments to end taxpayer subsidies and other forms of support for institutions with ties to various Marxist movements and policies; and ban the teaching and indoctrination of Critical Race Theory (CRT), Critical Gender Theory, etc., from taxpayer-financed public schools.
  • Education:
    • Get involved in every aspect of local public education--attend school board meetings to make certain that the public's interest and that of the students are being served.  Be heard.
    • Community committees should examine classroom curriculum, textbooks and learning materials, teacher training and seminar materials, the teacher contract with district, and school budgets.
    • Community committees should insist that teacher contracts prevent teachers from using classrooms and abusing academic freedom to proselytize or indoctrinate students with Marxist theories (CRT, Critical Gender Theory, SEL, etc.)
    • Private attorneys and legal groups should sue school districts that practice and impose CRT racism and other Marxist-related ideologies.
    • Urge state legislatures to pass laws preventing the indoctrination of students and the training of teachers in Marxist related ideologies.
    • Demand that state law requires the teaching of civics and the foundational principals in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
    • Community Committees should organize a taxpayer revolt against schools that continue to promote their own political and ideological agendas.
    • Community Committees should demand competition in education--the money follows the student.
    • Community Committees should develop and train candidates to run for the school board.
    • For students in private schools, parents also need to be vigilant as these schools hire teachers trained in public institutions and often utilize the same teaching resources.
  • Higher Education:
    • Become familiar with a school's reputation for academic free speech, traditional education, etc., or whether it is a hotbed of Marxist radicalism and intolerance.  The Legal Insurrection website (http://legalinsurrection.com/tag/college-insurrection/) provides a useful data base of CRT activity on college and university campuses.
    • Launch campaigns to inform potential donors and graduates to withhold financial support for institutions that engage in silencing academic freedom and free speech, promote Marxism, and are a part of cancel culture.  Support institutions that don't engage in such activity.
    • Several of the most radical institutions should be chosen as examples and targeted for boycott by parents, students and donors; divested of private-sector dollars; and sanctioned by pressure campaigns on local and state governments and corporations to slash their support of these schools.
    • State legislatures and governors must be pressured to take immediate actions to reign in the despotic aspects of these publicly funded institutions.
    • State legislatures should be pressured to report the receipt of foreign subsidies and donations, and then ban them entirely.
    • Use state and federal freedom of information laws to collect information from and about public universities and the Department of Education.
  • Corporations:
    • Practice patriotic commerce--investigate if a company shares your views--the internet, corporate prospectuses and other organizations like 2ndVote (https://www.2ndvote.com), Open-Secrets (https://www.opensecrets.org) are helpful.  Also, the Media Research Center (https://www.mrc.org/conservatives-fight-back) tracks corporate sponsors for major network news shows.
    • When possible, purchase goods and services from smaller, start-up or neighborhood businesses.
    • Support companies that are being targeted.
    • Use social media to expose and pressure politically and ideologically hostile corporations.
    • Lobby state legislatures to investigate hostile corporations and those that do business with Communist China, and pressure them to divest all state pension and other funds from these companies.
    • Support free market capitalism (it is not defending corporate oligarchism nor crony capitalism).
    • Insist on antitrust actions against large corporations that smother competition and support policies that undermine our country.
    • When appropriate, protest professional sports leagues and teams at their corporate headquarters and stadiums.
  • Climate Change (a degrowth, anticapitalism movement that will impoverish Americans, destroy our property rights, liberty, and way of life, and an attack on the most successful economic system known to man):  pushback will require a primarily legal and administrative response.
