Proposed Voting Precinct Changes Seek NCBOE Approval
The Harnett County Board of Elections has submitted a proposal to the NC Board of Elections that would create two additional voting precincts in Harnett County by splitting the Barbecue and Anderson Creek Precincts. The Board wishes to alleviate long lines during voting in these precincts. Currently there are 12,196 registered voters in Anderson Creek and 16,483 in Barbecue. The proposal also includes a minor adjustment in the Central Harnett Lillington Precinct that would extend the precinct to include all of the Town limits. The changes will take effect if the NCBOE approves them. Please click here for further information on the proposal.
The Harnett BOE has also moved to a new location effective immediately: 200 Alexander Drive, Lillington, NC 27546 and is open Monday- Friday from 8am - 5pm.
