Of a major concern was the large number of provisional ballots cast not only in Harnett County (1,150) but 1,432 in Johnston County; 5,195 in Mecklenburg County; 6,262 in Wake County (to name a few) with a total statewide of 64,987 provisional votes! By comparison, Lee County only had 309 cast. This abnormality needs to be investigated by the NCBOE, local BOEs, the Legislature and concerned citizens. Provisional ballots slow the lines, frustrate voters and result in extra work and the need for more personnel.
Harnett County GOP would like to express its gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers (poll workers, poll observers, poll greeters, door knockers, sign distributors, headquarters staff, phone bankers, precinct chairs and anyone who helped to bring victory to the White House and Harnett County.
Thank you!
