2023 Municipal Elections

When the people are afraid of the government, that's tyranny

But when the government is afraid of the people, that's liberty

Now is the time to get involved with the upcoming municipal elections.  We have repeatedly seen what happens to cities that have been run by Democrats for decades.  Do you know where your elected municipal officials stand on the values that you hold dear?  If not, ask them* (municipal elections are mostly nonpartisan making it difficult to assess a candidate's position). Then decide whether or not you can in good conscience support them.  Is there a need to find another candidate or are you willing to help him/her run for reelection.  Get involved; we can no longer afford to take municipal elections for granted.

The following people have their terms expiring at the end of 2023:

Angier: (4-year terms) Mayor Robert Smith (UNA), Commissioner Ward 2 William Coats (UNA), and Commissioner Ward 4 George Price, Jr. (R)

Coats: (2-year term) Mayor Chris Coats (R), (4-year term) Commissioner Kevin Gilbert (D), Commissioner Marc Powell (UNA)
