Filing Information

The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history,

whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite.

Thomas Jefferson

Running for Municipal Office in 2021

Because 2021 is a year following the Federal Census and redistricting may be necessary, the Town of Erwin's primary election of Commissioners is moved to March 8, 2022.  The general election will be either April 26, 2022 or May 17, 2022. The Erwin Mayoral election will also take place on the general election date to save the cost of having two elections. The elections in Coats and Lillington are at-large elections where everyone votes for all positions so their elections and the Town of Angier's elections will be held this year.
